Your donations have reached the Philippines!

We would like to thank all those of you who responded to our Philippines emergency appeal. All your donations, together with the remarkable efforts of students at St Catherine's High School, amounted to €13,350! The funds have been sent directly to Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB) which is a Jesuit-run coordinating network for response to disasters.

Students at St Catherine's High School in Pembroke organised a Multi-Activity Marathon Event which consisted in a number of activities involving physical exercise, walks, picnics and playtime, treasure hunts, zumba, capoeira, penalty shoot-outs, football matches, fun games as well as informative sessions for the students. Each student was being sponsored by family and friends and in all, the School managed to raise the incredible sum of €8000, €4000 of which was presented to Ms Claudia Taylor East (SOS Malta), and the sum of €4000 was presented to Fr Paul Pace for our fund for the Jesuit-run relief efforts in the stricken areas.

Below you will see images taken following the typhoon, some of the the destruction caused, as well as the relief aid reaching the inhabitants of various areas, provided by the Jesuit-run relief efforts.
